Carina chang

Carina Chang is a first-generation Chinese American painter from Queens, New York. Her parents immigrated from Hong Kong and the Dominican Republic, and she was raised between the USA and Hong Kong. 

Her autobiographical figurative paintings examine the dysphoria around the constructs of identity, culture, sexuality, and belonging. By observing her space and surroundings, she seeks to confront the unreliable narrator and rewrite her own narrative.
